BIG BLUE BOOSTERS SELECTS 2026 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENTS

Walla Walla, WA., April 20, 2026: Big Blue Boosters of Walla Walla are thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2026 Big Blue Boosters Scholarship. We received many outstanding applications this year, each of which demonstrated exceptional merit and dedication to their athletic pursuits and involvement. Through the generous support of our community, we are delighted to be able to award five (5) $1,000.00 scholarships to five outstanding individuals who have exemplified the values of Blue Devil Athletics and shown a commitment to excellence in their sport or sports and academics. Please join us in congratulating this year's award recipients (from L-R in photo): Alisson Rojas 10 overall varsity letters (3 soccer, 3 wrestling, 4 track), MCC honorable mention in wrestling for 2 years, National Honor Society, AVID All Star Award 9th grade and 11th grade. Will be attending the University of Washington. Korinne Hayes 12 overall Varsity Letters (4 soccer, 4 basketball 4 track), 2nd team all-conference soccer 2023, all state honorable mention soccer 2023, 1st team all-conference soccer 2025, Most improved award track and field 2023, 2025 basketball captain, AP Scholar Award. Signed to play soccer at Western Colorado University. Nile Dumser 7 Overall Varsity Letters (4 Golf, 3 Basketball), Team MVP 3 years in golf senior year TBD. Second team all-conference twice, senior year TBD. Golf team captain for 3 years. Will be attending either the University of Nevada, University of Idaho or Cal Poly Bridget Boyd 11 Overall Varsity Letters (4 soccer, 4 basketball and 3 track) 2023 MCC all conference soccer 2nd team, 2024 MCC all conference soccer 2nd team, 2023 all state soccer 2nd team, 2024 all state soccer 2nd team, 2025 MCC all conference Basketball Honorable mention, 2026 MCC all conference Basketball Honorable mention, 2026 MCC Fall student athlete award, 2026 varsity soccer captain, 2026 Varsity basketball captain, Seal of biliteracy. Signed to play basketball for Whitman College. Emily Meliah 8 overall varsity letters (4 fastpitch softball, 3 slow pitch softball, 1 swimming), 1st team all-conference slow pitch and swimming, 2nd team slow pitch twice. National Honor Society. Will be playing softball for WWCC. Big Blue would like to recognize all the amazing Blue Devils that applied for this scholarship. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Walla Walla community for their continued support and generosity, which has made it possible for us to provide scholarships to each of these deserving individuals.
