SEPT. 15, 2026 - WA-HI GIRLS SWIM & DIVE STARTS MCC DUAL SEASON 3-0

The Wa-Hi Girls Swim & Dive Team won all three dual meets against the Kennewick schools—Kamiakin, Kennewick, and Southridge—on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026, starting the season 3-0 in their MCC dual meet record. Despite missing one athlete, Wa-Hi performed very well in the intermittent rain, winning all three relays and seven individual events. The Blue Devils defeated Kamiakin 122-51, Kennewick 117-59, and Southridge 140-32. In dual meets, the top three relay finishers score points. In the 200 Medley Relay, the “A” squad of Cora Asmus, Claire Chen, Madelyn Smith, and Cienna Lyon finished first overall with a time of 2:09.41. The “B” squad of Kaylee Debolt, Josefine Fitts, Millie Zanes, and Reagan Hendley finished fourth overall in 2:31.82. In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the “A” squad of Violette Schindler, Olivia Thayne, Cienna Lyon, and Madelyn Smith finished first overall with a time of 1:56.48. The “B” squad of Gianna Goff, Reagan Hendley, Brooke-Lynn Bishop, and Millie Zanes finished fourth overall in 2:10.74. In the 400 Freestyle Relay, the “A” squad of Violette Schindler, Cora Asmus, Claire Chen, and Olivia Thayne finished first overall with a time of 4:19.54. The “B” squad of Brooke-Lynn Bishop, Gianna Goff, Kaylee Debolt, and Josefine Fitts finished third overall in 5:02.08. The top five finishers in individual events scored points. Sophomore Violette Schindler was first overall in both the 200 Freestyle (2:00.61) and the 100 Butterfly (1:01.09). Junior Madelyn Smith was first overall in both the 50 Freestyle (28.09) and the 100 Freestyle (1:00.54). Freshman Claire Chen was first overall in both the 200 IM (2:33.56) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:19.39). Freshman Cora Asmus was first overall in the 500 Freestyle (6:12.28) and second overall in the 100 Backstroke (1:14.39). Junior Olivia Thayne was second overall in both the 200 Freestyle (2:28.14) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:25.61). Junior Cienna Lyon finished second overall in the 100 Freestyle (1:05.38) and fourth overall in the 200 IM (2:47.56). Senior Gianna Goff was third overall in the 100 Backstroke (1:21.76) and fourth overall in the 50 Freestyle (31.11). Junior Brooke-Lynn Bishop was third overall in the 200 Freestyle (2:43.67) and fifth overall in the 100 Butterfly (1:28.01). Freshman Millie Zanes was fourth overall in the 100 Butterfly (1:23.20) and fifth overall in the 200 IM (2:49.90). Sophomore Josefine Fitts was fourth overall in the 500 Freestyle (6:54.76) and sixth overall in the 100 Breaststroke (1:41.48). Senior Reagan Hendley was fifth overall in the 100 Freestyle (1:14.48) and sixth overall in the 50 Freestyle (31.47). The Blue Devils’ next competition is the Mid-Columbia Invitational on Saturday, September 19, at Memorial Aquatic Center in Pasco, where they will compete against several of the top schools in Washington.
